Eagle ID Fun Days
When investigating the purchase of Idaho real estate, investors should evaluate the areas nearby; Boise, Eagle, Nampa, Meridian, and Kuna. For example, Eagle has a wonderful array of things to do and see and is located approximately eight miles to the west of Boise. With a population of about 20,000, there is a multitude of Eagle Idaho properties available for purchase. Residents of Eagle Idaho enjoy the small-town atmosphere, while still being allowed to relish in the conveniences of a larger city.
Eagle Idaho is host to a wide variety of activities. From a championship golf course to BMX tracks, or beautiful parks to wine tasting, there is something for just about everyone. In addition to the year-round attractions, there are numerous events and activities in Eagle. Eagle Idaho Fun Days, which is an event held annually in June, for example, kicks off the Treasure Valley festival season. This massive event is sponsored by the Eagle Chamber of Commerce and includes activities for residents and visitors of all ages.
The Wet and Wild Parade attracts an audience that simply must be prepared to have fun. Fire trucks participate in an enormous water fight amongst themselves and even involve the crowd. Spectators are warned that they should be prepared to get wet with this event.
The famous Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed, also known by locals as the "Nut Feed" draws quite a crowd as well. It is the largest "Nut Feed" west of the Mississippi. The mountain oysters are prepared and served by the local fire department. When they discover that a person has yet to experience this battered and deep-fried delicacy, they even honor that individual with a special, and quite humorous, song.
There are numerous bands that perform a wide variety of music during the Eagle Fun Days celebration. From the famous Crosby, Stills, and Nash, to the not so well known local variety, there is sure to be a performance that will catch everyone's attention.
A number of vendors attend Eagle Fun Days as well. Patrons come from all over the Treasure Valley area to sell everything from arts and crafts to many different kinds of foods. Local businesses often take advantage of the massive audience to promote their products and services as well.
Other activities that are enjoyed during this festival include a golf tournament, a rodeo, and a free-wheeling 10K and one-mile "fun run."
